PAUL DELANEY served as senior editor and as a reporter in Washington, Chicago and Madrid for The New York Times. Delaney was a co-founder of the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Minority Media Executives, was an editorial writer at the Baltimore Sun and chaired the Journalism Department at the University of Alabama.
